This ensemble of artwork : paintings, sculptures, ritual items consists of multiple private collections including rare and ancient items from 1940 to today (post-traumatic art). A few of these items have been exposed at international auctions and are in the catalogs.

These artists "with the dazzled hands" have moved, to the highest point, André Breton invited to Haiti in 1945 for a conference, and André Malraux, then Minister of Culture , who, since the first Black Arts Festival in Dakar in 1966 where he discovered the Haitian art stand, longed to visit the island. Despite his fatigue and illness , the opportunity was offered to him on Christmas 1975, accompanied by Sophie de Vilmorin, his dream came true : he visited the island and declared "Haiti : painters of the people,", he then wrote the chapter 11 of his book "L'Intemporel".
